imvho, an inline editor would be a real waste of time, unless you embed an scintilla (or similar) editor into rawstudio, but i think that might just make rawstudio a bigger and les prectical ball.. well, i'm no rawstudio developer, so i'm not the appropiate person to say so ;)
On the other hand, if no api is exposed to the python scripting feature, then i think it would be very limited... then that could be easily achieved through a configurable stack of shell calls for post-processing, instead. Anyway, that would already allow doing things like batch copying of exif-info from originals to converted, which is really interesting. Should there be an inline text-editor for scripting? Do we need to place hooks at appropiate functions? (load/save etc) Does this go hand in hand with a plugin architecture? Would it help to make a librawstudio? Is Python easy to implement? Is this simply a problem of linking to the appropriate python-libs?
