Thanks for the quick feedback - I'll wait for the detailed before I comment
much.  Essentially I agree with the points you have identified.  The reason
I did not discuss colour management is because it is 'experimental' in the
stable release.

Examples for the 'Image Adjustments and Corrections':
This is on my to-do list :)

I am of course happy to update it for 2.0.  I feel it would be most
effective if completed in time to be available when 2.0 is released, which
of course means starting writing before 2.0 is completed.  In order to
effectively carry this out, I would very much appreciate you (the dev
mailing list) letting me know when the 2.0 UI is frozen, as I understand it,
the current SVN UI still has some major changes before the 2.0 release.
