You sir are an absolute star. The reason is simple : on import from the card photos are automatically renamed to yymmdd-camera-unique_number.cr2. I process them in rawstudio-daily and then (usually) export to GIMP from which they are eventually exported to jpg or png. The original raw files are then moved to a folder called "originals". Since your welcome addition, on export from GIMP the full file name is now already pre-entered in to the name field. Previously one had go resort to looking back at many (often v similar) raw files to decide exactly which one had been used as the base for a particular image and then re-entering the yymmdd-camera-unique_number-description manually. This tedious process is now no longer necessary, for which I am truly grateful.
