Rawstudio have received very few updates for a long time. We have the same problem as other projects - lack of manpower. It should be possible to upgrade dcraw, but it's a daunting task. dcraw was last upgraded 2011-12-29 to version 9.12. We only use dcraw for legacy support these days.
