Thank you; and all those others who responded. :) The keep-state thingy was
exactly what the doctor ordered, and fits in wonderfully well with the
FreeBSD ipfw syntax. :) I now set it up like this:

check-state
allow tcp from any to 216.52.3.0/24 7,2703 keep-state out xmit rl0 setup

And that seems to take care of the return-packets beautifully. :)
