Hi Paul Checking a mail for spam is done according to the following procedure in razor2:
- extract domains from the message, hash them -> numbers - pick some random text from the message, hash it -> number (the numbers cannot be converted back (=one-way-hash)) - compare these numbers with known "spam" numbers in the razor database - decide on spam/ham according to this compare and your confidence-settings in a nutshell: your message is computed to numbers somehow, those are sent to the razor servers. your message does not leave your machine. The only time your message leaves your machine is when you revoke a "false positive" (a message that has been wrongly classified as spam). Or has this been fixed/changed in the meantime?
