Tip of the Day: Paging through the R> Prompt Command History
Product.......: R:BASE X.5 and R:BASE X.5 Enterprise (Version 10.5)
Build.........: 10.5.1.30214 or higher
Sections......: R> Prompt
Keywords......: Command History, Page Up, Page Down, Focus
Did you know that when the Command History Panel is visible, the [Page Up] and
[Page Down] keys will highlight the corresponding synchronized command as shown
in the R> Prompt input console.
Users new to R:BASE X.5 (Version 10.5) that cycle through commands may notice
the [Page Up]/[Page Down] is now correctly, paging in the opposite direction.
The command being highlighted within the Command History toolbar helped realize
the direction was opposite of what was intended. [Page Down] should move the
selection down, and [Page Up] moves up.
It may take some time to retrain your finger key strokes, as I had
to, but you're
on your way to a more seamless transition in 10.5.
