Doug,

Is this happening with only one application or all applications?  If this is 
occurring on only the one application, my gut is thinking of a table issue. 
Have you tried packing the database?  Also, is there any way to try the 
application on another machine?  Depending on the result, might point to the 
blues clues.

Good suggestion Paul - I had forgotten about virus scanners.
I did exclude c:\RBTI\RBGX5E, C:\TEMP and *.RX1,2,3 & 4 (they're on a network 
drive) and although response is a little snappier, I'm still pinning the needle 
on browses.
