QUESTION:
For design/testing purposes, which PROPERTY, when defined within a
Form's On Before Design Action/On Before Start EEPs, will set the Form
into ENTER mode?
BACKGROUND:
While designing a Form bound to a TEMP Table;
- intended strictly for data entry one row at a time;
- during testing within a design session;
- where the Temp Table is empty;
- where both On Before EEPs have TRACE set ON:
(1) when hit, the [Ctrl-F9] "Run Form" (blue triangle icon):
- skips both On Before EEPs;
- returns error: "No rows exist or satisfy the specified clause. (2059)"
... as if "Run Form" operates strictly in EDIT mode.
(2) when hit, the [Shift-Ctrl-F9] "Run Form Live" (lightning icon):
- displays the Run Form <formname> dialog;
- runs the On Before EEPs no matter which mode is chosen;
- succeeds when ENTER is chosen;
- fails with 2059 when EDIT or BROWSE are chosen (as expected).
