Tip of the Day: Implementing Default Values at the Form Level
Product.......: R:BASE X.5 and R:BASE X.5 Enterprise (Version 10.5)
Build.........: 10.5.4.11222 or higher
Sections......: Forms
Keywords......: Default Value, Column, Table, DB Controls

Did you know that implementing Default Values for all table-based controls is now much easier in the Form Designer?

An all-in-one Default Values feature has been implemented at the form-level, similar to Display Formats. Within the Form Designer, select Tables > Default Values from the menu bar.

The Default Values window allows users to specify a default value for the field when the form is used in the enter mode for Database (DB) Controls within the Form Designer.

The value #DUP can also be placed in the Current Default Value field to duplicate the value when entering multiple rows of data through the form.

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
