Did you know that you can capture the Windows operating system name with R:BASE commands and functions?

A new APPLICATION parameter for the GETPROPERTY command was introduced to return the operating system name.

GETPROPERTY APPLICATION PLATFORM vPlatformName
SHOW VAR vPlatformName
Windows 10 (64 bit) Professional

Also, the (CVAL('PLATFORM')) function was recently updated to return the operating system, architecture, and build.

SET VAR vPlatform TEXT = (CVAL('PLATFORM'))
SHOW VAR vPlatform
WIN64 OS=Windows 10 Enterprise Build=19043

Very Best R:egards,
