R:BASE 11 is the latest release from R:BASE Technologies, representing a significant leap forward in database and application development.

R:BASE offers a comprehensive set of SQL-compliant and structural commands, empowering users to design and develop applications for virtually any task. With R:BASE 11, the command syntax has been significantly enhanced to deliver greater flexibility and performance. Key improvements include:

     * Enhanced INSERT and LOAD command performance with the ability to
       rebuild indexes after adding rows
     * EXCEPT clause support for the SELECT, PROJECT, EDIT, and BROWSE
       commands
     * New NULLSET command to set variable values to NULL for
       individual variables, or a variable list
     * Added support for temporary tables stored in memory for the
       CREATE TABLE, INTERSECT, JOIN, PROJECT, SUBTRACT, and UNION commands
     * New SET STATICVAR command to define static variables that are
       embedded in a database
     * Increased size limit to 30,000 characters for the
       SELECT...LISTOF function return value
     * Enhanced DIALOG and PAUSE commands where the Windows icon image
       will vary based upon the operating system
     * New RESET command to retain the date/time for tables and views
       when unloading structure
     * Enhanced RBBEDIT command to support editing BLOB data directly
       from a SELECT query
     * Enhanced TIMEOUT functionality to optionally execute a stored
       procedure or code stored in a table
     * Enhanced GATEWAY IMPORT support for the XML format to flatten
       the structure and process attribute options
     * Added CREATE INDEX support for NOT NULL (partial) indexes
     * Enhanced PRINT... OPTION SCREEN with additional parameters to
       disable the Find Text and Report Outline buttons
     * Enhanced LIST command which displays the last schema and data
       date/time stamps, and database comment
     * Support for local variables within MDI forms with SET VARIABLE MDI
     * Enhanced FEEDBACK setting where the AUTONUM command will show
       feedback
     * Enhanced SHOW VARIABLE command which supports wildcard
       characters for the variable name
     * Added GATEWAY EXPORT parameter where records may be divided into
       separate files based on record quantity
     * Enhanced UNLOAD DATA command to specify custom quote and
       delimiter character values
     * Enhanced DIR command to support sorted output with ASC and DESC
       parameters
     * New EXPLAIN command which outputs the optimizer selections for
       the specified query
     * Enhanced LIST VIEWS which shows the tables/views that are used
       in each view
     * Enhanced ExtForm PLUGIN where the version number for an external
       form can be adjusted
     * Enhanced COMMENT ON command to specify a comment for the
       connected database
     * Enhanced AUTOCHK command performance to check an index in
       descending order
     * New DBCONN command to display all applications with connections
       to a database
     * Enhanced LIST command which includes the number of views, stored
       procedures, forms, reports, and labels
     * Enhanced GATEWAY EXPORT formula detection support for
       spreadsheet formats
     * Enhanced GRANT user privileges allowing CREATE privileges on
       TEMPORARY TABLES
     * Enhanced LIST command to display QualKey columns
