Thursday, June 12, 2025 Tip of the Day: Restore Command Files from the Prior Session Product: R:BASE 11 Build: 11.0.2.20612 or higher Section: R:BASE Editor Keywords: Command File, Session, Load, Save, .rbsf
Did you know you can restore groups of command files in the R:BASE Editor from a previous session? R:BASE 11 introduces two convenient methods to reopen command files used in a prior R:BASE Editor session: 1. Save/Load Session: >From the File menu, you can now use Save Session to store your open command >files in an R:BASE Editor Session File (*.rbsf). Later, use Load Session to >reopen them precisely as they were before closing R:BASE. 2. Remember Current Session: This new setting automatically restores the open command files from your last session. To use it, enable Remember Current Session after opening your files. The next time you launch R:BASE, those files will automatically reopen. Important: Use either the manual Save/Load method or the automatic Remember Current Session — not both. If you prefer the manual approach, be sure to disable Remember Current Session in the settings. Both options help streamline your workflow by restoring your workspace to its original state. The Save/Load method is beneficial for managing sessions by application module, client, or project, letting you pick up right where you left off.
