Hello Bruce, I have not used R:Base for a while so I am a little rusty…make that, very rusty.
I believe there are several commands that might help: You can set “No break on error” from the top menu. (CTRL + F5) You can do an “Execute to error” From the top menu. (SHIFT + F10) You can also add breakpoint at strategic locations and then run to breakpoint, this should allow you to pinpoint the location and when you are close, go one line at a time until you find the culprit code. My code, including forms and reports usually have this line at the top: DEBUG SET TRACE ON And a matching DEBUG SET TRACE OFF at the bottom. Now, If I SET DEBUG ON, everything in the code with command above runs in TRACE mode. This is great when testing code. When done, I SET DEBUG OFF and code runs normally. Hopefully the above gives you some clues. RBG11 06/12/25 Is there a TRACE setting which will prevent an automatic exit from TRACE when a simple variable datatype error is encountered? By exiting, there's no report on where the error occurs, rendering Execute-to-Error [Shift-F10] of no use, as it forces an [F10] slog through the code file. Thoughts? Bruce A.
