Wow, I didn't know I could do that!!! Thanks, gonna try that.
What'll happen is I'll set a variable coming into the form that indicates if a
bunch of columns should be hidden, then on the On After Start EEP I'll check
the variable and potentially hide columns

I know dbgrids you can have columns based on a table lookup expressions but
have not seen a variable.
As for hiding columns in a form you can use this property to hide column(s)
PROPERTY cedbgrid 'COLUMNS[4]->VISIBLE' 'False'

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Hide a column in a grid
Just wanna make sure I'm not missing something. In the past, if I had a DBGrid
but I wanted the columns displayed to be different based on some variable, what
do you do? I wish there was a "hide" property on the column level but I don't
think there is.
In the past, if I knew the form was pretty stable and not likely to be modified
much, I've located 2 grids on the form, making one visible and one invisible.
Or of course had 2 different forms, but I don't like doing that if the form is
complicated cuz then I'd have to make changes in 2 places.
Has anyone else done something different?
