Over the past few days I have been able to successfully convert all of our 4.5++ RBASE for DOS databases. After resaving all of the forms and reports, I was able to successfully (so far at least) to run all of the applications that had been writen by using the RBwin 6.5 version. Trying to convert these applications in the RB6.5 for DOS first before shifting to the Windows version was a mistake. Going directly to RB6.5win was so easy. All of the .cmd files appear to be understood by RB65win with no problems. The RBASE development team should be congratulated for making things this easy!!!
I will now begin the process of getting all of my users to convert to the 6.5 ++ Windows version while I download and try RBwin 7.0 beta.
Thought the process was going to be very painful, but so far it has been a breeze. Looking forward to working with the more powerful Windows version and the upgrade to 7.0

Now, before converting your 6.5++ for Windows to the Next Generation R:BASE 7.0 for Windows, make sure that all Forms, Reports and Labels are up and running in 6.5++ for Windows.
Once up and running in 6.5++ for Windows, converting to 7.0 is simple!
