I found a free program many years ago. It is called startup control panel.
It is more complete than msconfig.

It adds an icon to your control panel as a short cut.

Here is a link to it. Easy to use too.

If you do not find it in there then I would suspect it is started by a
service.

Anyone play with MSCONFIG?
I have a Verizon "Online Support" start up file which I unchecked and left
MSConfig as a Selective startup. But it still kicks it off which takes
forever to load and I don't use it.

The EXE on the program line looks like:
matchli.exe -boot

I've uninstalled the application, but no help. Likewise with the Verizon
support. (Other than, "Try reinstalling everything and then uninstalling it
again.")

Explorer can't find the file and so I don't know where it is (system &
hidden files checked).
The program that won't die.

Thanks,

Dennis
