Marc...

We have issues liek that in our office also. The problem doesn't appear to be RBASE related for us. We have an HP4200 printer that will exactly duplicate a report as it appears on a screen, but when the same report comes from our Lanier it becomes two pages with the second page having the bottom 2 or 3 lines of the report. It happens in Word, Word Perfect and other programs we use. Are you using the same print drivers across these printers? --that was the sales reps explanation of the difference in output.

I am sorry I did not I explained the problem very
well.

Let's say I have 2 exact reports, the only difference
report 2 has all the boxes 3 mm lower than report 1.

The print output on my HP 895 and several other
printers prints report 2 3mm lower than report 1.
That's the way it should be.

Using the 7410 report 2 prints 20mm lower instead of
3mm lower.

I do have a 3rd report that moves the print 2-3mm but
the 7410 moves it 20mm. I didn't mean that the print
was jumping up and down 20mm from one time to the
other.

Sorry I was unclear.

Marc

If the printer is moving 20mm up and down so it is
inconsistent, it sounds
like the gears are loose/worn out and it is never
going to line up. Buy a
new printer.

If "the print moves 20mm up and down",
how would you know when the top
margin has to be moved 20mm up and
when it has to be moved 20mm down?

Does a page eject for the HFCA/CMS-1500
form, prior to start of printing, fix the alignment
problem for the 2nd and subsequent pages?

Depending upon where we buy our forms,
sometimes ejecting the first page is required
for alignment of subsequent pages. This
technique is irrational but it works.
