Sounds like a memory configuration issue.

On the batch file you start it with, check the memory tab settings.

Conventional – Auto

Initial Environment 1024

EMS – None

XMS None

DPMI 10204

If you don’t have a memory tab, you need to jump through some hoops.  Create a shortcut on your desktop and point it to some exe file.  Then after it is created, change it from pointing to the exe and point it to the batch file you start R:base with.

Has anyone ever run across a problem with installing Rbase 6.5 Dos version. We are doing this on a Dell Laptop with XP
