Depending upon the type of print object, character or image, printing characters to the programs local drive file (log print time) permits displaying to the desired screen-- print control characters included, and then if good, sending it to the desired printer (log print time). By seperating the database times from the printer times, it gives an idea where to look and measure. Image printing will require additional steps.
RRR Dennis Fleming Tue, 27 Sep 2005 14:49:55 -0700 Moving a user from RB6.5 to 7.1 runtime on terminal services. One of the issues has been slow printing. My concern in 7.1 is that the default is to display the report and then print it and wondering what others have found in terms of printing speed. I thought I might have them save the report on the server as a pdf file and then email to their local PC to print. Any tips appreciated.
