Question: I've seen "color numbers" but have not as yet
discovered what the number correlates to. That is, I know
its another expression for a color, but how does one
translate number to color and vice-versa?

Use the built-in "DIALOG Builder" and "DIALOG Builder with
Buttons" Plugins (included with R:BASE 7.5 for Windows) to
get the number of your favorite color to be used in CHOOSE,
DIALOG and PAUSE commands.
