Which version did you download. The windows 3.1 version or the windowsNT version. If it was the windows 3.1 version you may have problems on a window xp machine.
I am running Windows XP home on a Gateway laptop with an Athlon 64 CPU, 1Gig of ram and 40 Gig of hard disk space using the WindowNT version of StarDesgnor. It works fine,

If you decide to go the Star Designer route, I have an updated RBASE71.DEF file that customizes the version of Star Desgner to better match RBase v7.x. Because of the age of the Star Designer product the Mike is distributing certain advanced features such as Triggers cann not be traqnsferred. The product will however do a good job of diagramming tables and the links between then.
If anyone on the list is using this product I would be happy to share my RBASE.DEF file

Mike Byerley still has a download for Star Designer that might work with
6.5 available on his website. http://www.byerley.net/BdcDownSup.htm
Rbase had the R:Struc app, which was great for documenting. It doesn't
give you a graphical "map" of the database, though.

Recommended Tool
Hi all,
Still using 6.5++ database/apps natively and also accessed via
VB.NET/Oterro 2.6 and was wondering if anyone could recommend a
tool/app/whatever that would allow us to automatically generate some
form of "map" of our database structure.
I'd imagine, vague as it is, that this is enough info to go on for the
moment, but if more info is needed I'll be happy to supply it.
Thanks in advance for any and all replies.
Steven
