Some more background -- I am using Thunderbird 2.0.0.12 for my test
which I have done on several systems (XP and Vista) and I
consistently get the MAPI: General Failure, ErrorCode = 2. My test
environments are using a compiled application (compiled with the
latest available build also) and the appropriate MapiMailx.RBL file
copied into the application folder. When I switch my default email
application to something other than Thunderbird (I have tried
Outlook and The Bat!) both work fine, only the Thunderbird fails me,
and naturally, the application is for a client that is using Thunderbird.

Thanks for all details.
FYI, Windows File > Properties > Version is the most appropriate
method to find the exact version and build of any R:BASE Plugins.
I'll send you the updated versions of MAPIMailx.RBL Plugins. Check
your e-mail for a link.
We'll setup the test environment tomorrow and see what is the exact
problem with Thunderbird as compared to Outlook, Eudora or The Bat!
