Whatever your approach, it is going to have to be done outside R:BASE,
because once you start R:BASE you are not going to be able to overwrite .exe
and .dll files that R:BASE is using.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Network RBase Compiler ...question

Hi

I hope I am asking this question correctly?

I have several users networking my compiled app using peer to peer setups.

They just have the workstation Icon point to the mapped folder on the
"server"

I know these are not the best but my question is...

on the workstation will RBase search C:\ for the EXE or DLL files or do

then need to be in a folder and then have that folder in the Icon
properties?

I am thinking about trying to write a small command file that would compare
the

dates of my Exe and DLL files on the server and workstation then copy them
from

the server to the workstation if the workstation files are older.

Or I was thinking of just running an Unzip command to send them to the
workstation

in my start up file and if they are the same date the RBzip would just skip
them.

Thanks

Marc
