Excellent,
I can now use - (ISTAT('DBSIZE')) to get the current database size. This solves my problems and allays my fears.

Thanks,

Dan

Look at help for ISTAT to get the size of RB1, RB2, RB3 and RB4. I think this might be what you need.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Programmatically determining DataBase size

Hi,
Since my recent crash because the database grew to over the 2 gig limit. I need to find a way to Stop it before it happens. Just yesterday I noticed it was at 1.976 gigs. Good thing I happened to see it. I would like to have R:Base tell me it is about to make itself so big it can't be read and might lock the company up again. I was looking for CVAL commands or some such to check this. Does anyone know of anything like this?
Thanks,
Dan
