Automotive Tech's I would give it about 30 second's lifespan. They
bounce laptops of basketballs.

No really! I even thought "Air Cards" I would have to purchase them by
the gross. I lost 4 laptops last month and recovered all hard drives. And
then this.

I wish I could (I could but it would not work - Even the Panasonic
Toughbook is not tough enough for these guys. Not a good day!

Oh, Just a little problem that happened.

This program with sub-dir's needed to be reloaded (not mine at all) when it
removed itself it also delete ALL sub-dir (but this was fine because the
tech 1 and 2 felt he had FTP'ed the files - but a power outage broke the
connection and he felt (a different auto tech) felt all was fine). Tech 1
goes ahead with the reinstall - wipes the program and sub-dir's and starts
with a clean slate and reinstall the program and sub-dir's.

I believe with all the space on this disk and not being defragged it could
all be there. But I also do not want to guess and experiments here and
destroy the data with mistakes trying.

Out of this however, I did find out that my FTP hosts was able to review
deleted files and assured me also that if they arrived even if part he could
have recovered them then If he need to go to a restore backup , it was
possible for about $150.00 and he could go back at least 30 days. But it
never got uploaded from this laptop. Crap, I back up daily and two or
three times and archive. But it has to get on the server first.

Oh ya - Mike B and I were talking about grabbing these files and loading
them and archiving in a place that nobody knew about. For safety sakes! In
case they got deleted accidently or on purpose. See!

Sincerely,
Paul Dewey
