Shall I revert back to XP?

Why go backwards?

Always stay on the top of everything. Otherwise, you'll be
among those who missed the boat and are ALWAYS playing catchup.
Don't you feel sorry for those who always come up with 101
excuses to stay behind and never accept the challenge, or dare
to move forward, without looking at the positives.

Having said that, I personally have a nice experience with
Windows Vista Business (SP1); on three Sony Vaio Notebooks
and two Desktop computers. There are lots of nice features,
but most importantly all the current versions of R:BASE,
including R:WEB Suite, R:BASE 7.6 (DOS/Win), Turbo V-8 and
R:BASE eXtreme (version 9.0) "ROCK" on Vista. Setting up
Apache 2.2.9 (Win32), and PHP 5.2.6 is also a breeze!

Of course, there are a few minor annoying items that will
be taken care of in the next patch of Vista. This is perfectly
acceptable when you look at the positive side of the operating
system. No regrets here!

Shall I stay with open office and give up MS-Office?

That is purely your preference.

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
