Technically, R:Compiler 7.6, 8.0, or even 9.0 consists of three (3) parts:
01. RBGxxCompiler.EXE
This is the actual designer to compile your R:BASE project and create a
final distributable .EXE.
In addition, this also allows you to customize all EXE details, such as,
making a demo version, customized loading window, customized exe icon,
your own version information and more ....
Using RBGxxCompiler.EXE, you can save all your customized details as
R:Compiler Project File (.rcp) and then re-use it when creating the
next update, etc.
This module is updated, once in a while when a enhancement request is
implemented. However, RBGxxCompiler.EXE is included with each update.
The version information under Help About is updated accordingly and
does not have to match the version of R:BASE Engine or RBGxx.RU file.
02. RBGxx.RU
This is the "Raw Uncompiled" version of R:BASE that gets converted
to the executable along with your R:BASE project file.
This module is updated, with each and every update of R:BASE
accordingly.
RBGxx.RU is included with each update.
03. RBENGINExx.DLL
This is the required R:BASE Engine file updated with each and every
update of engine related bug fixes and enhancements.
RBENGINExx.DLL is included with each update.
