In R:BASE 6.5++, if you wanted variable vtest set to a value of 20, you could do this with the following statement: vtest = 20. You could do this at the R prompt or in command files. In R:BASE 7.6, you can no longer do this at the R prompt so is it safe to say that it would also be illegal in comand files?
Can R:STYLE to set consider code that is written as "vtest = 20" as an error? If so, how can I make it do that? I seem to recall someone saying that there was a setting that would error out line that did not begin with a valid command but I haven't been able to find a setting that will do that.
