I've got all the columns in the view using ()'s in the second SEL & it works fine.

In its simplest form, it is:
CREATE TEMP VIEW MailListl +
(LName) +
AS SELECT +
LastName +
FROM PermntResdnt +
UNION +

LAST1 +
FROM KarlOct08
LastName is text 64
Last1 is text 40
PermntResdnt is a working view
KarlOct08 is a table.
Once I get it working, I'll fluff it up with more cols & WHE clauses but I want to get the basics 1st.
