I realize I can no longer edit lookup variables like I could in 6.5. The help suggests making an EEP before the form is launched. This form is for editing punches from the shop. The purpose for the lookup in one field is to bring information in that the employees missed, That is where the lookup comes in. I also edit existing information that needs serial numbers etc. The variable I now use is PROCDESC = PROCDESC in PARTPROC where PROCNUM = PROCNUM. How would I write the EEP before the form launched so I could use the lookup when necessary? Jim
