Hi Mike,
The only way I know to do this is to change the name of the col in one table, 
then change the length,  then change the next table col to same name and 
length, etc.
When all the columns have been changed, then rename it back to original name.

It would be easier to set up a program to do this.

Have fun doing this.

Pittsburg. 

   

  I am trying to change the length of a text value column in a database where 
there are  prox 10 tables which contain the identical column name . 

  It seems that all of the tables must be changed simultaneously. 

  Any ideas out there?
