Dan, In addition to all file security options provided by the MS Operating System, that is probably the most viable option. However, denying the delete rights for the "entire folder" might impose a few boo-boos if your SCRATCH settings are not SET correctly. SETting the SCRATCH to TMP should take care of that. Good luck.
