Hello,

I've made my own very functional application within R:Base (V8) over the past few months, but I've been bugged by all the dead space within the application window. I've seen that I can set up gradients and use background images, but that doesn't really appeal to me. When I first started using the application designer, I assumed that application components (forms, report previews, etc.) would perhaps be contained within the initial menu window, utilizing that dead space. Is this possible? It could even be a full-screen application with some form of a taskbar to manage R:Base windows. (Maybe with the ability to snap commonly used components into place within the application window?)

I've looked at the sample application that is part of the Tutorial which came with Turbo V-8, and it is basically similar to what I have created: a plain-jane white box with a few menu choices at the top, and windows that pop up external to the application. For a good example, imagine R:Base, which has its own internal taskbar.

Does anyone have an example of a self-contained application they've created, or perhaps a suggestion for a different direction I should aim?

Thanks,
