I cant answer the question, but I can tell how I do in 7.6 I click the on
focus background colour to set a custom colour to the field in focus. In
design mode click on the object use second tab Effects to manipulate the
background colour for the field in focus

Ämne: [RBASE-L] - Change keyboard cursor on form

I know we can change the "mouse cursor" when hovering over a DB Edit with a
mouse, but is there anyway we can change the flashing cursor when you're
sitting on a field? Quite a few times (and just again today) I have had
clients say that they cannot see the verticle line at the beginning of a
blank field. If you have Overwrite on and the field has something in it,
then of course you see the entire field highlighted. But if the field is
empty, sometimes that little verticle line isn't enough notice.

It would be cool if it was a "form wide" ability, rather than something to
set field by field. Because (as luck would have it), this is being
requested by the client that has the form with 400 DB Edits on it! I don't
want to change the property of 400 fields if I can avoid it! I know that
I could also do this by creating an entry eep to change the background
color, but for sure this would take 400 property edits! So I'm hoping for
a more simple solution.
