I tried using a dsnless connection but it would not work and kept asking me
for the R:Base ODBC driver. I can connect to an MS Access Database since it
uses the Microsoft driver, but no luck connecting to another R:Base database
without the R:Base drivers installed.

I connect via compiled app to other Rbase databases and other odbc databases
without any problem. I use dsnless connections now. It makes life a lot
easier on deployment.

I figured I needed either the ODBC drivers or Oterro. Luckily, this client
still has a full license for R:Base, even when they are using the compiled
version.

Yep, It works good too :)

You would also have to have Oterro too.

Can you connect (SCONNECT and SATTACH) to another R:Base database and
table(s) from a computer without R:Base and only an R:Base compiled
application running?
