Without research) I try to compile any bat/cmd into an exe and then I get less error's Just My .02 Sincerely, Paul Dewey From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Heffelfinger, Duane Sent: Thursday, March 05, 2009 12:24 PM To: RBASE-L Mailing List Subject: [RBASE-L] - RE: I/O Error allocating a buffer for the file g:\dananet.R Thanks for the ideas and suggestions. So when this happens is it a cause for concern? The procedure I was running today gathers data in to a file only, no updates or inserts, then runs a batch process in a dos window, then repeats the process 500 or so times. Reviewing the log files it appears that everything ran properly except the displayed error message. I'm pretty sure I have all the rights I need since I'm an administrator on the server (I double checked my rights too.) Thanks to Paul and Frank for your input. Duey Whenever I see this error it is because I do not have full control in the security settings under the folders properties tab. Check that and also make sure the user has full control under the sharing tab - permissions if you are using this over the network.
