Marc, I am joining this a little late in the process...Sorry if these have already been addressed.
Two questions... 1. Why are you using a Pause Command? 2. Why use a Project...where count=0 then insert? Wouldn't it be better to use project...using columns desired where custnum = .vaptcust.
