Oma, Create a control database with a table containing all the paths and database names then run your loop from there.
I do my backups that way with a DB_Path, DB_Name and Destination_Path. You can get clever and flag DBs for backup every time, every week - whatever turns you on. Obviously you'll need to keep it updated with new databases but that should be easy enough. Ok, I'm trying to use the launch command and I'm sure that I'm trying to do something that RBase was not designed to do. Launch 'c:\2007 Project Management\test.doc' - brings up Word and the current directory is 'c:\2007 Project Management\test.doc' (if I do a file save as)! Version 8 Launch 'C:\2007 Project Management\marsfood.rx1'||w or Launch 'C:\2007 Project Management\marsfood.rx1'|"test.rmd"|w (would like this open to work so I would have to interact with RBase - run test.rmd) (file association in windows for RX1 is RBG8.EXE) The database that comes up after the launch command is the current database in c:\OCSI - OCSI.RX1 I run the launch above from a loop in code reading from the database reference table in the current database OCSI. The database reference table has the locations and names of the databases! Test.rmd contains some code to connect and unloading the database to an external drive location, disconnect, exit and this needs to run in a separate database session. I must stay connected to OCSI to loop though more than one databases because they have different folder locations and names on the hard drive! Any one have any ideas!!! It's a group backup using the unload all for the databases from my development PC. (50 databases) Trying to come up with a way to backup all databases on the pc with out having to go into each folder and running the database from explorer or having 50 icons!! They have an enterprise version. The nicest thing about Vipre is its incredibly small footprint in memory (1.8 megs on the machine from which I am sending this message, with real-time AV and AS, including email protection for Outlook.) Trying to find reviews is about like asking which is better, Ford or GM. McAfee gets good reviews on Enterprise but gets trashed in reviews on single machines. Same with Norton / Symatec. (This does not make much sense to me.) So I thought I would ask a brief question as to what our faithful Rbaser's might be using in an enterprise solution. (Server based, that protects servers and can push out to attached clients) Thanks, -Bob ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message.
