The human readable part is fine. The barcode is not autosized. The label I'm
printing is a 1" high by 3" wide. The barcode is for UPC-A. One of the
configuration settings for UPC-A (AutoSize Font) in the label designer
cannot be changed because it is an UPC-A control.

Besides the barcode, I want to print the ItemCode to the left of the UPC-A
barcode. I can't do this as I need mort horizontal width which I had hoped
to pickup by shortening the width of the UPC-A barcode.

I cannot figure out how to do that part. I've changed the font etc., with no
joy.

The TLP2844 works well. The tech support is excellent as well.

I use the bigger Zebra S600 for my labels and Code 128. As far as I can
tell what Jan said is true on the human readable part. Make sure that on
the properties of the label is not set to autosize, I do not autosize my
labels just expand it far enough to capture all the barcode. Do you guys
like the TLP2844, I just ordered one for a backup and use on smaller jobs.

Bill,

We use the TLP 2824 to print on labels that are 1/2 by 1.
We print quite a bit of information on the label including
a barcode. Our barcode prints on the bottom of the label
and is only about 1/16" high. I'm using Code 39 and the
only option I have selected is Visible (duh).

I think the font and pitch setting are for when you are
printing human readable.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Barcode Label Question

Using the latest release of 7.6 I have a question regarding printing of
barcode labels.

I am using a Zebra TLP2844 label printer.

My barcodes print just fine, everything is good.

Here is my question:

I want to narrow the barcode which is located on the right side of the label
so I can place other information on the left side of the same label.

No matter which font or pitch size I use on the barcode (A DBBarcode object
UPC-A barcode type), or how I expand or shrink this object, it always prints
the same size on the label.

Can anyone gather a guess as to how I might accomplish this ?

Thanks in advance.
