Marc, Is it a picture? An embedded bitmap or jpeg or tif file? If so, you have two options: 1) get somebody to type it in. 2) use OCR (optical character recognition) software, then edit the result because there will be mistakes.
Often, a multi-function printer installation CD includes free OCR software. Some brands are ABBYY, IRIS, OmniPage, TextBridge. Googling should help.
