I do this too. The European standard is the only truly logical way to specify dates. Like the metric system, I wish the whole world would get on that statndard.

If you use date and time or date only as part of file name use YYYYMMDD as the format instead of MMDDYYYY. It is a natural way of easily ordering and grouping the filenames.
