I started out using Runtime, but then switched to Compiler.  I prefer Compiler
because you only have to update 1 computer on a network, where with runtime you
have to upgrade each computer.  I do believe that I saw a slight speed
decrease(across the network) when I switched to Runtime, but I would sitll
recommend Compiler.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - RBG7.6 compiler or runtime

Been working on some non Rbase projects for some time but now ready to move my
application from 7.1 (runtime) to 7.6,
Upgrade cost for Rcompiler, Rcharts, Rspell, etc., is about $3500.
Interested in specific cost/benefits other developers have experienced in
upgrading.
And, any downside to using the compiler over runtime?

Thanks,

Dennis
