Paul

I have Scratch set to TMP for both computers.
The problem computer is old and slow and I only use it for testing, but some of
my users may have the
same kind of equipment.

I am doing lots other update stuff before this, I wonder if doing a DISC then
CON will clear up some memory
stuff?

Thanks
Marc

I recall in MS Environment you can change those values. Also make sure you have
set your temp (s) to C:\temp and they are not full. Watch your paging initial
size also. I found in a recent case it was beyond required and caused MS to
have ill effects. Actually the opposite of what I expected! It was found
during a MS upgrade to MS-7 from Vista.

Perhaps a MS-Tech knowledgeable of these settings will enlighten us both.
Memory / Cache allocation is fun, heck half the time I am trying to forget
yesterday.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Insufficient Buffer space error

Hi

I get an Insufficient Buffer space error on this line using an older laptop but
not on a newer desktop

with more RAM. Is the lack or RAM the only possible problem or is there a way
to work around

this problem? Spdesc is a Varchar field.

     UPDATE soapcode SET spdesc = (SRPL(spdesc ,'^',
(CHAR(13))+(CHAR(10)),0))

Thanks

Marc
