Developers, It's just* three weeks *from tomorrow that many of us will be flying or driving to Pittsburgh for the R:BASE Conference. Watch the news tonight, and you're sure to see some shots of that beautiful city, where the G-20 Economic Summit began today. It's a world-class city, for sure. If you haven't registered or made reservations,
Razzak and RBTI have *compressed the conference schedule *this year, in response to developers who are having a harder time than usual getting time off from work, and travel funds from employers. There won't be any official activities until Saturday morning, October, 17, (no reception Friday night), and the conference will end on Sunday at 5:00pm. The banquet will be Saturday night this year, rather than Sunday. Adjust your travel plans accordingly! Who is willing to help with some of the other details? We need one or two volunteers to manage the "*Project Bundle Up*" charity collection and enforcement of fines when necessary (for example when your cell phone makes noise during sessions, or you make references to professional or college sports events or teams.) Anyone with time to start early can watch this email list for example, for Karen Tellef talking about Dah Bears, or similar outbursts, and can try to shame her/them into making an appropriate donation to the charity that provides winter wear to thousands of poor people in the Pittsburgh area every year. We need a volunteer *photographer *and one or more volunteer *bloggers *to share some of the fun with people who had to stay home that weekend. Volunteer to me privately, or here on the list. Who wants to *golf?* Friday afternoon looks like an opportunity, and because there is no RBTI reception Friday night, we could golf starting as late as 2:00pm Friday afternoon. Let me know, and I'll make tee time arrangements at one of the courses we have played that are convenient to the Courtyard by Marriott. Bill
