Currently I have a menu option in the Compiled RBA that runs a Choose command
Update Forms, Update Reports ..... It sets the owner password, StaticDB Off
then runs the file.

Marc: I agree, if you put an owner password on the database, then even if they
run out and get an evaluation copy of RBase then they couldn't connect to the
database without the password. I'm not sure if forms being compressed would
be much of a help -- I thought it was more to save space and I never do it
because
then it's hard to search for stuff.

If you add a new form, you would have to recompile anyway, wouldn't you? Or
else there would be no way for the user to use the form!

I thought if you had an Owner password the RB* files are safe and if the
Forms are compressed
the Custom Form Actions and EEPs are safe too??? or am I wrong.

I am using the Compiler in 7.6 to Compile the RBA file which mostly has
menus. Updating my app
and adding new Forms / Reports is easy.

If you use V9 Compiler and put those things into the Exe will that make it
harder to Add new Forms
to your app? Would you have to Re Compile the EXE again to include the new
Form?

  Thanks for any info
