Hi all,
I am curious how folks deal with the following.

a) I import a spreadsheet monthly and want to save it for archival purposes to a sub-directory.
The file is always supplied with the same name so I need to add month and year to the name;
i.e. (imon(.vdate)) + (iyr(.vdate)) How do I add a variable or create a variable that becomes the file name.

b) Is there a way to use R:Base's dos-like commands to copy a non-R:Base file for backup. I have a few
user files in a sub-directory within the \program files\ sub-directory and I cannot get R:Base copy, rename,
etc. to recognize them. I am guessing the space in between "program" and "files" in the sub-directory
name is giving me the problem. Is there a workaround or syntax suggestion. I simply want to add these
files to my traditional R:Base backup.
