Our database makes extensive use of menus, some as group bars and others
as single action bit buttons. They are all start as enter/edit/browse
using..... which, as expected, pulls up the form and off you go. In V8
they work first time every time, regardless of where you go or what you
do. V9 (1204) starts as expected, but after selecting any combination of
5-8 single or chained menu options they simply stop working. V9 is
simply the converted version of V8. No menu code changes. The exact
number of menu choices needed to trip up V9 seems to vary. The same
keystrokes will work one time, next time it stops. The exact same menu
code in V8 keeps chugging along. In V9 echo and trace, the command line
comes to the screen (such as EDIT USING Z_Indentity_Info WHERE ZID =
(.vZID)) and then simply sits there. The only resolution is to log off
with Task Manager and start again. I have to go back to V8 until this
gets resolved. Where do I start looking? There are no special startup
commands except where to find the database. Read through the manuals and
I did not see anything about new special V9 adjustments for the USING
command system.
