Dick,

The Object Inspector is now a standard part of eXtreme 9.0. You could turn
it on and see if the name of the background color for your drop down menu
object.

I am pretty familiar with the Application Designer, and it has not 
changed much. 
The AD has its own page for properties, and nowhere do I find any option 
to set or change menu drop-down background or text colors.
You can change the main menu bar across the top, but not the drop downs. 
They looked much better white.
I guess if there was a PROPERTY command, you would have to know the name 
of that control.
