Dick, The Object Inspector is now a standard part of eXtreme 9.0. You could turn it on and see if the name of the background color for your drop down menu object.

The AD has its own page for properties, and nowhere do I find any option to set or change menu drop-down background or text colors. You can change the main menu bar across the top, but not the drop downs. They looked much better white. I guess if there was a PROPERTY command, you would have to know the name of that control.
