Luc, Thank you.
I hope all R:BASE users with Windows 64 can benefit from this messages. For Windows 64 it is: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe For Windows 32 it is: C:\WINDOWS\system32\odbcad32.exe Just make a shortcut on your desktop or in the folder System Managemnet where the deafult ODBC Manager already is installed. But you have no other way to run this .exe but from typing it in the start command line. That was the tricky part. Luc D. However the only way to connect to the ODBC administrator in the SYSWOW64 folder is to do it manually by typing the command in start. I've put shortcut on my desktop to connect it easily. the genuine ODBC connector in the configuration refers automatically to the system32 folder. Luc D. As far as the ODBC problem is concerned, I found out that the ODBC is installed. The problem is to change the ODBC administrator property from ....\System32\.... to ....\SysWOW64\.... the example posted by Razzak does not compare to what I see in Win 7 64. So, I haven't figured out yet where I could change this as the ODBC tool is automatically launched from the System32 folder. Luc D. It is a Windows problem for ODBC install/setup, as I understand from the message. Is the Theme now working as expected ? Marco ----- Original Message ----- From: Luc Delcoigne To: RBASE-L Mailing List Sent: Tuesday, August 10, 2010 6:32 PM Subject: [RBASE-L] - Re: rbase ODBC trouble John, I reinstalled Rbase 90_64 on my (64 bit) server PC using the full installation. I did the latest upgrade. However on the ODBC form I still don't see any reference to Rbase extreme ODBC driver. I installed the same Rbase on 2 other (32-bit) computers without any problems, and the ODBC is present on those 2. This is however the server PC and I NEED the ODBC driver on this one. What do I try next ? I can't find the RBThemes.dll anymore. On this PC I installed Rbase90_64 as a server. Could this be the reason ? Furthermore, and despite the help of Razzak, the Rbase ODBC driver doesn't appear in the ODBC list. That's another issue I'ill have to address. Luc, The Server Installation will load the RBThemes9.dll. Are other users also running R:BASE from this computer? If not, then the Server Installation would "NOT" be required. Do you see any other ODBC drivers in the list? Perhaps you really did select the "Compact Installation", as the R:BASE ODBC driver is also omitted from this installation option. It is advised that you run the installer again and select either Full Installation or Custom Installation for this workstation. Best regards, John Minyo II R:BASE Technologies Customer Service
